Time Management

Each of us has 24 hours in which we can be productive. At the very least, many of us must work and rest. The remaining hours are crucial to our work. We must learn to manage our time even at work to be productive and operate at our best. Many people notice that they jump from one task to the next, attempting to do everything yet falling short. Participants will learn how to manage their time in this program successfully.

This workshop is offered to groups of 5 or more.

Workshop Outline

Defining Time Management

Participants will first utilize their pre-assignment to select areas in which they want to improve their time management skills. Then they'll learn about the six-time management principles that will be discussed throughout the workshop.

Setting Objectives

Participants will learn how to develop SMART objectives to manage their time during this workshop better.


This session will explore several planning tools and how they may be used.

Establishing Priorities

Participants will learn how to prioritize projects based on their importance and time limits. They'll also learn how to deal with distractions and disruptions.

Decision Making

The importance of good decision-making will be discussed, as planning and prioritizing relies on it.


People frequently spend time on tasks that would be better handled by someone else. When it comes to time management, knowing how to delegate efficiently is essential.


Setting objectives, planning, prioritizing, making decisions, and delegating are important aspects of time management. This session will teach participants how to estimate how long it will take to accomplish tasks and establish a schedule.

Eliminating Procrastination

This session will teach participants how to get started on those projects they've been putting off.

Creating Order 

Participants will learn how to declutter and use effective organizational practices to create order.

Getting Your Files Organized

Participants will learn how to manage paper and electronic files, including emails.

Managing Your Workload

Participants will engage in two activities to help them manage their workloads more efficiently.
