Intermediate Project Management

It's common to assume that project management is restricted to only a few industries or just a few people with niche professions. However, in actuality, most industries and professions will require people to complete assignments that are a regular part of their usual responsibilities.

 

This workshop is intended for those who already fully understand the conceptual phase of a project's life cycle, consisting of goal setting, vision statement drafting, and creating a statement of work. This workshop shall teach you the remaining three stages: planning, executing, and termination.

This workshop is offered to groups of 5 or more.

What Work Should Be Done?

This session shall identify and list all tasks and resources.

The Work Breakdown Structure

The Work Breakdown Structure is an important planning tool that project management organizations universally acknowledged. During this session, participants shall be taught what a Work Breakdown Structure is and how they can create one.

Scheduling Techniques

Participants will then be taught how they must schedule their tasks, including devising estimated times and considering other scheduling considerations. Several planning tools such as the Gantt chart, milestone chart, action planning worksheets, network diagrams, and flow charts will also be explored.

How to Budget Properly

Participants will be given a thorough overview of the different ways that they can budget themselves through a lecture. They will also be provided with the opportunity to apply this knowledge to a case study.

Project Risk Assessment

This session shall assist participants in recognizing risks as well as determining how to assess them.

Final Plan Preparation

All the previous planning covered will be culminated into forming a final preparation plan

Making Things Fit

Once all your documentation is prepared and you are ready to begin the actual process of starting your projects. Still, you find out that you either get a reduced time window or a budget reduction due to some unforeseen reason. This session shall you figure out what to do in such circumstances.

Execution

This session shall provide participants with additional information on how they can effectively execute their projects, including status meetings and common issues in management.

Change Control

Changes are an inevitable part of the overall project management process. This lecture will provide you with the knowledge you need to effectively incorporate change as a component of your plan.

Projecting Closing

This session shall teach you about how to handle the conclusion of a successful project.
