During the present COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals have become accustomed to the reality of online meetings and presentations from home. Everything from virtual team meetings, client negotiations, conferences, or any other professional communication we have had to complete remotely. This is likely to be the new reality in the modern world as people use Zoom, MS Teams, GoToMeeting, and Google Meet in place of normal office interactions.

 

Being familiar with these technologies is vital if you wish to survive in the modern workplace. This workshop will provide participants with the expertise to do just that.

This workshop is offered to groups of 5 or more.

Why Should You Have Virtual Presentations and Meetings?

This session will explore why virtual presentations are becoming increasingly common and what types of virtual presentations are typically used.

How Do Virtual Presentations Different from In-Person Ones?

This session will focus on differentiating between virtual and in-person presentations.

The Difficulties of Virtual Presentations

This session will explore the basic difficulties associated with virtual presentations and possible solutions to these difficulties.

Fundamentals of Virtual Presentations for the Presenter

This next session shall aim to focus on the difficulties experienced by presenters in virtual presentations and provide some solutions to them. In addition, the session will also highlight the value of etiquette and hospitality in proper presentation management. The session will end with a discussion on roles during a virtual presentation.

Fundamentals of virtual presentations for the presentation

This session will assist participants in identifying the difficulties related to presentation preparation as well as possible solutions. Breakout Rooms will also be used to facilitate different learning types.

Virtual Presentation Tools

The session will then turn towards addressing the most common virtual presentation tools.

Virtual Presentation Tools- Zoom

This session will explain to participants how to use Zoom, understand its features, navigate its interface, familiarize themselves with its advantages and disadvantages, and recognize its most significant features.

Virtual Presentation Tools- Microsoft Teams

This session will explain how to use Microsoft Teams, understand its features, navigate its interface and familiarize themselves with its advantages and disadvantages, along with recognizing its most significant features.

Virtual Presentation tools- GoToMeeting

This session will explain how to use GoToMeeting, understand its features, navigate its interface, and familiarize themselves with its advantages and disadvantages, along with recognizing its most significant features.

Virtual Presentation Tools- Google Meet

This session will explain the presentation tool go Google Meet, understand its features, navigate its interface, familiarize themselves with its advantages and disadvantages, and recognize its most significant features.

Capstone Activity

To provide participants with the chance to practice what they have learned, participants will divide into teams and give virtual presentations of their own in these sessions.
