Communication Strategies

Have you ever pondered why conversing with certain people appears to be so tough while conversing with others appears to be so simple? Can you think of a time when you met someone for the first time and instantly liked them? Something about the person made you feel at ease. One of the main goals of this workshop is to assist participants in understanding how their communication abilities affect others. They'll also look at how enhancing these abilities might help people get along better in the workplace.

This workshop is offered to groups of 5 or more.

Workshop Outline

Creating Positive Relationships 

Participants will learn ten techniques to develop great connections, including using uplifting messages, during this program.

Growing Our Self-Awareness

Our capacity to communicate ourselves clearly and maintain our cool in stressful times can be a valuable tool in the workplace. Participants will perform a self-confidence evaluation throughout this session. The group will then discuss strategies to boost their self-esteem.

Communication Basics

Using many reflection exercises, participants will identify their communication strengths and weaknesses. 

Communication Barriers

Following a large group given scenario, participants will discuss communication impediments. Participants will also perform a brief activity to assist them in developing a mindfulness habit.

Asking Questions

This session will look at questioning abilities through a presentation and a pair exercise (including unanswered questions, closed questions, and probing).

Listening Skills

This session will help participants improve their listening abilities.

Body Language 

This session will cover the concept of body language. Then, to further explore the notion, participants will conduct a small group exercise.

Communication Styles

This session will enable participants to take a more objective look at the benefits and drawbacks of both sides of various communication styles.

Creating a Positive Self-Image 

Participants will take a deep dive into perceptions and self-image. Participants will also complete a  self-evaluation exercise.

Frame of Reference

This session will look at our point of view and the choices we make. Participants will also engage in an activity that will help them improve their ability to speak more fluently on communication concepts.

Techniques for the Workplace

Participants will learn about two important aspects of an effective message: preparation and delivery.

Assertiveness

Our perceptions of ourselves influence how we connect with others. This program will look at how participants can enhance their self-image and cope with challenging situations assertively and positively through lectures, case studies, and discussions.
